Outdoor classroom, a high quality extra space.
Eldapoints conversion team were approached by a local school to help with the design and manufacture of a modular building to give them additional classroom space due to recent COVID restrictions. Using the teams knowledge and expertise plans were drawn up and agreed using the highest quality material but keeping within there budget.
The classroom was manufactured from 2 x 20’ standard shipping containers, with two of the sides removed to give an open space of approx. 300 sq. ft. The unit was then insulated, installed with fully certified electrics and fitted with UPVC windows and doors before being clad in low pressure treated timber.
The install team consisted of 2 electricians, 2 joiners and 1 welder. One Hiab was needed to bring each unit into position and in total it took 2 days to complete the installation.
Finally, we carried out a full quality check before handing it over to the school, who now have extra room for their students for the new term starting in September.
